New York 2005
New York, November 18 - 20
Friday - walked around 5the Avenue and stopped into St. Patrick;s Cathedral.

In the evening went to see
The Light in the Piazza at the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center - this
was the reason I wanted to go to New York, although my Fabrizio (Matthew Morrison) had already left
the play.

Saturday  - walked to Macy's Department store to take pictures of the store windows for my Mom (a
huge John Payne and Miracle on 34th Street fan).

After Macy's on to Madison Square Garden (opposite the Pennsylvania Hotel).

Next on to Times Square for some shopping, there is an excellent bookstore across the street from
where Phantom of the Opera is playing.

With an afternoon free I went back to Lincoln Center to take pictures of the Met, Julliard and the Vivian
Beaumont Theater.  Once there I decided to see
The Light in the Piazza again.  I enjoyed it so much the
second time.  I liked the understudy for Fabrizio.

Dinner at Sardi's and then to see
A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, which starred Matthew Morrison (my
Fabrizio from
The Light in the Piazza), among other people.  He was adorable, but the play was just OK.

Sunday - checked out and went home - sigh.  I could have stayed and saw The Light in the Piazza  one
more time!
