March 24th - 31st
Amanda's graduation trip. It's hard to select only a few pictures!
Arrive in Athens and check into the hotel. Met the rest of the Globus tour group.
Greek Day, so we had a free day. Walked to the Athens Flea Market, and by walked I meant rerouted because
of the parade so it's amazing we found the market! Visit to the new Acropolis Museum which was one of the
few museums open, and it was free!
All aboard the Louis Cristal! First day on ship in ton cabin #3029. After a lifeboat drill we relaxed and waited
for the first port of call which was Mykonos. This was Amanda's favorite stop. Famous fr the windmills and the
beautiful scenery including churches and Little Venice. All on board was 10:30 pm.
Morning port of call at Kusadasi, Turkey. Wake up call was 5:30 am. Toured the House of the Virgin Mary and
the Roman ruins at Ephesus. Both were outstanding and well worth the trip. Afterward we went back to the
port and I bought a Turkish rug for my house!
Afternoon port of call was the Island of Patmos which is considered a holy island. Famous for the Cave of
Revelations, where John the Evangelist wrote the Book of Revelations and St. John's Monastery, we opted to
go to the Cave of Revelations and then a scenic tour of the island.
